The llano estacado is the ecotone between the arid west and humid east. This is a true West Texas nature center. Different areas include washes, flatlands and a pond. Makes for a gorgeous walk on a nice day. The only negatives are the dog walkers who don't pick up after their pet and smokers who throw their butts on the ground.

Wondrously rustic nature trail and an awesome indoor learning center to boot! I've been coming here with my kids for well over ten years and we absolutely love it! There's almost always a family friendly, kid oriented activity on the weekends. Everything from live animal demonstrations to learning about local wildlife. Thank you to Burr, for always giving kiddos and adults alike fun learning experience!
