For children 8 and under this is a great place that is FREE and they can learn about Butterflies (that is where the name comes from) and about other animals including an Owl, Alligators, Skunk and more. There is a crafts and books are for the kids to keep busy and they book birthday parties. There are also outdoor paths for enjoying nature. FREE!

This is a delightful park that has a little bit of something for everyone. The center itself is a fun and interactive place for kids and adults to experience a small, taste of florida nature up close and personal. Their exhibit room is stunning and informative. They also have daily animal feedings :-) my kids adore this place!

Very relaxing boardwalk, large park with soccer/football fields, basketball and tennis courts. Large lake for your watersports. Park also has an area for pets. Will recommend this park to anyone.

Very nice place to take the kids to learn about nature. They have wooden walking paths but there aren't as nice as some of the other nature places in the area

Love this place! Daggerwing is a delightful nature center. There's a boardwalk that goes about 1-2 miles depending on which route you take, and it includes a tower that goes up about 30 feet. You can't see that much from the top of the tower so I'm not sure why it's there, but it's a short and fun climb. The boardwalk is open pretty much everyday, even when the center itself is closed. The staff are very pleasant too, and they have a schedule of activities with a lot for kids.
