A nice place to go. There's a wooden walk way leading up to the entrance with lots of greenery and a fish pond. Animals are mostly reptiles I believe and a rabbit I remember. There is a little cave inside for kids to explore. I remember it was really fun as a child and my niece loved it too. The back has different birds. The staff is nice. Took a star off just because I felt bad some of the animals were in cages, but it's a nice free place to visit.

The Clearwater Nature Center is large for a nature center - but they tend to be small places; it is in a beautiful location among trees in a huge park. There is good hiking to be had on the trails nearby to explore the rest of the park. In the nature center there are a variety of animals in healthy condition. None are difficult to see. Outdoors they have a number of birds of prey including owls, hawks, and even a bald eagle. Great way to spend a couple hours. The map on your GPS will have trouble with the location. It is further down Thrift Road than the main entrance to the park. There is a sign for the nature center. Edit: Google has now fixed the location.

Great little party room and animal show. Staff are caring and knowledgeable. The crow hasn't always been there and I look forward to visiting again when he has found another home. 😮

Nice place but, I wish they didn't keep the birds in cages. Birds are meant to fly.
