Absolutely beautiful park, friendly and tolerable rangers, gorgeous views and awesome kayaking! This park has tent camping and RV camping, restrooms you can walk or drive to, good hiking, and fire pits on the ground made from circles of stone. Bring your tent, firewood (bought locally) some food, and friends and it is a complete blast. Take a dip in the river if you get a chance. It’s cold but refreshing. One word of advice: the raccoons are experts there. They will walk within 6 ft of you at night to try and steal your marshmallows or Tostitos (happened to us). So make sure you seal things up well. Also you can catch their eyes at night in the forest with a flash light. It’s quite fun. Definitely will be going back, good fun for the whole family. FYI: tent camping is first come first serve on spots, $14/night per site, and you pay by just waiting for the guys in the golf cart to come by and take payment along with a name. Have fun!

Broken Bow lake is my favorite place in Oklahoma. The geography surrounding the lake is breath taking. Water clarity is unlike anything I've seen save for Tahoe. The lake is super deep which shields it from sudden temperature changes that shallow lakes experience. The way the lake is laid out it can have tons of people on it yet not feel crowded. Bevers Bend marina offers tons of rentals from jet skis to wake board boats. Even houseboats if you desire. Prices are stiff but reasonable.

I love this place! Beautiful shady camping, the showers are kept up and never run out of hot water. When you go through the entrance to the park, you enter a new world. So peaceful, your stress rolls away.

Beavers Bend State Park is absolutely an incredible experience. My family and I make it a point to do a ‘camping’ trip each year at one of the state parks’ cabins. Beavers Bend is by far our favorite place to go. They have canoeing, kayaking, paddle boats, swim hole, fishing spots, hiking trails, and the museum. They have a restaurant inside the park, and we usually make it a point to cookout one night and go to the restaurant on the second. The cabins are good for a retreat, always has pots and pans, plates and cutlery. Fridge, microwave, stove, etc. Clean sheets and sufficient room for our crew, as well as TVs (no cable) My kids absolutely love our adventures here and it is our best getaway.

Love this park!! A group of friends rented a couple of the cabins and spent the weekend exploring. We canoed the river and cracked plenty of beers. Evening campfires with a star filled sky. Looking forward to going back.
